Carmilla is a webserie and adaptation of the novella of the same name, written by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu and published in 1872.

In this adaptation, it’s presumably 2015 and we follow the adventures of Laura Hollis

Literature student (I think) at Silas University, in (picturesque) Styria, Austria.

Tiny Laura is filming a journalism project about how shady her school is but oop HER DORM ROOMMATE, BETTY, DISAPPEARS. 

The school don’t seem worried about it, actually, no one seems worried about it so Tiny Laura decides to investigate. 

But OH NO, the school suddenly replace her roommate with *drum rolls*

Carmilla! Shady, incredibly pretty, insufferable Carmilla.
Tiny Laura tries to ignore her freaky new roommate (on whom she starts crushing on because she is weak) and keep investigating with the help of her friends:
Perry the floor don and Mom friend, LaFontaine the super cool scientist who happens to be nonbinary & Perry’s bff, and Tall Danny the very tall, very hot member of the “Summer Society Club” (only for girls because they are all super gays. No kidding. Gays everywhere.)

BEHOLD, THE GINGER SQUAD.

After further investigation, they realize that everyone and everything is shady. 
The presumably sentient Library, the very tall and scary Dean of Silas, the Alchemy Club making weird experiments, terrifying dreams about a giant black cat crawling on Laura’s room, the fact that Carmilla literally drinks blood…

.. I guess you will have to watch the show to know what all of this means, right? Don’t worry, it only takes 3 hours to watch Season 1!
